New Headquarters For Western Shooting Horse
The Western Shooting Horse™ Association has purchased a 6500 Square foot office building on 2.5 acres in Tijeras, New Mexico to house its operations and publishing arm. Located at 870 Historic Route 66 at the Zuzax Road exit just 15 miles east of Albuquerque, the office building is highly visible to vehicle traffic on New Mexico Interstate 40 features the organization’s new raised letter sign.
Located in the headquarters will be the publishing department for Western Shooting Horse™ Magazine and WSHA Member administration. Making is editorial debut on November 1, 2007 Western Shooting Horse™ Magazine is completely produced in-house and will use an adjacent one-acre lot with a small arena for testing, photography and small exhibitions. “The WSHA will use only one half of the building for its operations at this time,” says Ken Amorosano, WSHA CEO and Publisher. “We have leased out the other portion for the time being knowing the larger size will offer an opportunity for expansion as the organization and the magazine grows.”
The Western Shooting Horse™ Association is a membership organization dedicated to promoting the sport of Mounted Shooting and the accomplishments of equine trained in activities utilizing firearms in competition, reenactment, law enforcement, film and television.
The WSHA publishes Western Shooting Horse™, the periodical journal of the Western Shooting Horse™ Association. The one and only journal dedicated to the Western Shooting Horse™ and the people who utilize and appreciate them, the magazine provides content specifically geared toward the world of shooting horse activities in areas of training, education, health and events.

WSHA SPONSORS THE CMSA
The Western Shooting Horse™ Association (WSHA) and its Western Shooting Horse™ Magazine have entered into a National Sponsorship agreement with the Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association (CMSA). Joining other National Sponsors Colt, Ruger, Sundowner, Wah Maker, Wrangler, Boulet Boots, Jeffers and Classic Equine, the WSHA enters the program with the CMSA World Championships at the South Point Casino Arena November 13-18, 2007 where its exhibitor booth will be on display.
Founder of the fastest growing equestrian sport in America, the CMSA is the governing body of the sport with affiliate clubs nationwide. The organization produces State, Regional, and National Championships as well as its annual World Championships attracting thousands of competitors.
WSHA plans on attending all of the 2008 CMSA Big 8 Championships.

CMSA ANNOUNCES NEW CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES
The Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association (CMSA) recently announced the creation of a new ‘points race within the points race’ called the CMSA Championship Series. This exciting new program will have its own point tracking system separate from the National High Point system as well as high point prizes awarded for points earned at Championship Series Events. The CMSA Championship Series includes the CMSA Big Four, which for several years has consisted of the Eastern, Western, National & World Championship events. In 2008 the first of a newly created class of event called the CMSA Classic will be added to the Big Four. Three Classic events are schedule to join the series in 2008 with a forth already planned for 2009. These new events are designed to bring the very highest caliber championship events to every part of the country.
Beginning with the Festival of the West held at Wild Horse Pass in Phoenix, AZ in March and wrapping up in the home of the American Quarter Horse, Amarillo, Texas in November of 2008.
Immediately after the 2007 Sundowner World Championship in Las Vegas, the CMSA board of directors will finalize and publish complete guidelines for the new series.
