EMF’s Cool New Carbine

It’s not really a replica of anything that’s ever  been made, but it is one heckuva nice toy!

DON’T YOU JUST LOVE IT when a firearms manufacturer creates a gun specifically for the sport?

EMF Company has a way with Cowboy guns. And they should. They’ve been in the replica cowboy gun business since the early ‘50s.

This one is not really a replica of any gun ever made, but it makes sense for the mounted shooting market since the CMSA recently announced a rule change that separates the lever action rifles from the revolving type.

The Great Western II “Pony Express” Carbine brings the best of all worlds in a an easy handling rifle that is built on the same frame as their Pony Express mounted shooting pistols.

This means the same choice of laid back hammers and custom mounted shooting tuning that all the Pony Expresses get shipped with.

Pietta Firearms in Brescia Italy are the ones who make the Pony Express carbines and pistols for EMF based on a design from Dave Anderson.

Handling the prototype at the Shot Show in Las Vegas, the carbine has a nice balance and very comfortable Schnabel forend. The carbine features a 16 1/4" stainless steel barrel and pistol grip carbine stock.

The Pony Express is set up with a Bisley hammer, wide, set-back competition trigger with the manufacturer hand polishing all internal parts before shipping making the carbine competition ready.

The Pony Express Carbine will retail for $850 and should be available from retailers early spring. Visit www.emf-company.com.
